Temple B’nai B’rith Sisterhood is part of a worldwide Reform Jewish community of women who support Jewish values, education, and social action. WRJ are advocates, civil rights, women’s rights, and children’s rights.
The Sisterhood of Temple B’nai B’rith is committed to the community of Wilkes-Barre and surrounding areas. We are there for all faiths with Interfaith Services, Ladies Teas, and relief efforts during disastrous times.
The Sisterhood continues to sponsor fundraisers in order to donate money to our religious school, buy equipment for our commercial kitchen as well as causes that have emerged throughout the last 100 years!
The Shabbat Onegs, Passover Seder, and Backyard Barbecue Services are Sisterhood traditions with home cooked savory meals and sweet treats. Each member supports our TBB Sisterhood in her own way. TBB Sisterhood supports our National WRJ with a portion of your dues. What that means to you, that young student can travel to Israel to become a Reform Rabbi. Jewish people from war-ravaged countries can safely leave and immigrate to United States. WRJ Scholarship programs are integral part of how TBB dues are used.
TBB Sisterhood welcomes your contribution of volunteering your special interest or talent as well as sponsoring a Friday Night Oneg honoring your parents special anniversary or your child’s B’nei Mitzvah. Please join WRJ with your $25.00 check to Sisterhood Temple B’nai B’rith, 408 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, PA. 18704-3699. Questions concerning Sisterhood dues, activities, sponsorship, or volunteering should be directed to Mrs. Pat Dobrowolski at #570.696.4301 (home) or #570.954.4647 (cell).
