Our Clergy & Staff

Rabbi Eric Mollo has been the spiritual leader at Temple B’nai B’rith since July 1, 2019.  He has previously served as the rabbi of Tree of Life congregation in Columbia, SC and Temple Chayai Shalom in Easton, MA.

A native of State College, Pennsylvania, Rabbi Mollo earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Jewish Studies and Communication Arts and Sciences from the Pennsylvania State University. More recently, he earned a Master’s Degree in 2013 and Rabbinic Ordination in 2014 from the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, Ohio. During his final year, Rabbi Mollo was the recipient of the Cora Kahn Prize which is awarded a graduating senior whose sermon delivery and oratory are considered best during his/her senior year.

Throughout his career, Rabbi Mollo has worked with local and state representatives to provide a voice to the most vulnerable in our community and walked alongside fellow clergy to build bridges across religious and racial boundaries. In partnership with fellow clergy, Rabbi Mollo helped to charter a new social justice advocacy organization in Columbia, South Carolina called MORE Justice in 2017 which is a local, independent, branch of a national movement of regional justice ministries that pursue social justice initiatives across socio-economic, political, racial, and religious boundaries. In 2018, Rabbi Mollo was also selected as one of three clergy persons in South Carolina to participate in the distinguished Diversity Learning Initiative through the Riley Institute of Fuhrman University.

Rabbi Mollo is excited to call Pennsylvania home once again and to bring his passion for Judaism and musical talents to Temple B’nai B’rith where he hopes to build on the efforts of his predecessors towards creating a strong sense of belonging, Jewish pride, and communal engagement.

Rabbi Mollo lives in the Back Mountain with his wife, Rabbi Carolan Glatstein, their two daughters, and their dog, Trinket. In his spare time, Rabbi Mollo enjoys supporting/watching Philadelphia sports teams, playing guitar, writing songs, watching documentaries, cooking, reading, and studying ancient texts.
